Komatsu Zenoah Co.

Dec. 1945 Founded Nihon Kensetsu Kogyo Tosei Kumiai Tokyo Seisakusho. Aug. 1910 Founded Tokyo Gasu Kogyo.
Feb. 1948 Established Kabushiki Kaisha (K.K.) Tokyo Seisakusho. Jun. 1913 Changed the company name to Tokyo Gasu Denki Kogyo.
Sep. 1955 Changed the company name to Dowa Kinzoku Kogyo K.K. May 1953 Merged with Fuji Motor Corporation and changed the company name to Fuji Motor Corporation.
Jan. 1959 Began comprehensive assembling work of forklift trucks (FG15/14/20). Jun. 1962 Signed a business tie-up agreement with Komatsu Mfg. Co., Ltd.
May 1966 Changed the company name to Komatsu Forklift Co., Ltd. Mar. 1964 Began production of backhoe attachment for bulldozers.
Jun. 1968 Opened the Tochigi Plant to begin manufacturing engine powered forklift trucks. Apr. 1972 Merged with Dai Nippon Kikai Kogyo K.K.
Feb. 1970 Developed battery powered forklift trucks. Jan. 1973 Changed the company name to Zenoah Co.
Oct. 1974 A right of business on forklift trucks and shovel loaders was transferred from Komatsu Mfg., Co., Ltd. Oct. 1979 Changed the company name to Komatsu Zenoah Co.
Nov. 1980 Awarded the Deming Prize for quality control. Nov. 1984 Awarded the Deming Prize for quality control.
Aug. 1994 Acquired ISO9001 certification. Feb. 1997 Acquired ISO9001 certification.
Feb. 1998 Acquired ISO14001 certification. Aug. 2000 Relocated head office and the Tachikawa Plant to Kawagoe, Saitama Prefecture.
Nov. 2006 Relocated head office from Akasaka to Shiba-koen, Minato-ku, Tokyo. Jul. 2002 Acquired ISO14001 certification.

Komatsu Utility Co., Ltd.

Apr. 2007 Komatsu Forklift Co., Ltd. merged with Komatsu Zenoah Co. having mini construction equipment business. Komatsu Forklift Co., Ltd. is a surviving company and changed the company name to Komatsu Utility Co., Ltd. accordingly.
May. 2009 Merged businesses into Oyama.
